Moving

Well, we've finally done the 'big flip'.

I've got a turkey breast in the oven.  I have no idea how it's gonna turn out.  Hopefully ok.  I keep saying I'm a baker, not a cook.  We'll see what happens.

John got most of his teeth pulled, so I made a point of cooking the turkey with the lid on, so it has less chance of getting dry.

Today I haven't even broken a thousand steps yet.  It's not quite noon.  Gonna see if the ground is frozen, and if it isn't, plant onions.

Not so great feeling

I think I ate something that disagrees with me.  I've now thrown all 'old' meat away.  Also other old stuff.  There's now a lot of room in the freezers.

I hope this goes away quickly.  I feel like proverbial shit.

Only 6k steps today.  But I'm wiped out.

On the plus side, my orders from Amazon arrived.  Got a meal planning book, and a grocery list pad.  I'm hoping meal planning and proper grocery shopping will help prevent the freezer chaos we had.  It would be good to only have freezer items in the freezer, not leftovers that will never be eaten.  or meat that we'll use 'later'.  Might wind up with some kind of excel sheet for helping with rotation, and knowing what we have and might need.

Working

So, while I've been working, I haven't really been taking my walks.

And now it's too cold.

But I've usually been getting the "AMA recommended 10K steps per day"

Still need to work on balancing input/output for calories.  I'm really wanting to lose weight, and it's not happening.  So with the move, I will probably give in, and do meal planning.  Because that will help.  And not buying random groceries will be good.  With the store less than 3 minutes away, it's too easy to just grab some random thing.  The nearest grocery store to Woodstock is at least 15 minutes away.  (Pipestone)
I just ordered a meal planner book from amazon.  along with a grocery list pad.  I'll check with Yia if we should add anything to that order.

Oh, my feet bones are starting to shift, depending on how I'm sitting/standing.  It's not the best feeling in the world. blah.

banged my finger on a door frame the other day, and now my hand has a low grade ache all the time.  :(

My car is now under 2 years on the loan left.  assuming I don't hit it with a massive payment at some point.  I could actually finish that up with my savings, if I wanted to.

Made soup today.
Chunk of pork, a yellow onion, two potatoes, two packets of pork gravy mix, half an acorn squash, a grind of black pepper, and enough water to cover.  Set it in the crock pot on medium for 6 hours.  Nothing is mush, but everything is super soft.  It worked really well.  I just wanted to make sure I put the ingredients down on 'paper', so I don't forget it.  I almost forgot the dash of hickory liquid smoke.  not sure of amount.  Just a bit.

Just did a bit on the porch.  brought stuff off.

Pulled down one of the shelves in John's office.  got 4 boxes of stuff already ready to go.  for a week from now.

sigh.

Hehehe, I'm an 'Adult'

Which means that I can eat the innards of a pumpkin pie if  I want to.  No one can stop me.

I then went into a carb coma.  I think it will be a one time thing.

Might be one of the odder things I've done.

HUGS to everyone.

Do the weird things.

Much Glee

So, I finished 3 challenges today with Garmin.  :D

My 91 mile walking one, the September weekend 5K, and a September Walking 30 miles.

I wasn't expecting to get the last two.  But John and I went for a walk, and I walked (using 'run' setting) 3.33 miles.  which got me the 5K badge, and I got enough miles this month in my walking for the 91 miles, to get the 30 mile one.

I also got a personal record, with the later walk.  'Longest Run' - from 3.26 miles to 3.33 miles.

I found out a couple days ago that 'walks' don't count toward personal records, with Garmin, anyway.
I had a 16:01 mile, and that didn't replace the 17 something of my current best.  (I jogged a bit).

Now that I'm done with my 91 miles, I'll probably use the 'run' setting.  Because I am a little ticked that my 16:01 didn't count.

My kidney stone seems to have passed.  I hope.

That's it for now, I think.  :D

ARGH!

I'm so close to finishing my challenge.  I just hope, hope, HOPE that my urinary tract issues won't keep me from finishing.  I'm debating  just going out and finishing it, despite the discomfort.  I did take ibu since I have zero doubt this stone is causing inflammation.

When I'm not bent, it seems to hurt less.  So, since I walk upright, it might work.

OOOOOWWWWW

So.  my theory that I had passed the stone wasn't totally correct.

It did pass from my ureter (tube from kidney to bladder)

I believe it is now in my urethra (tube from bladder to the outside world)

This hurts. Marginally less than when it was stuck above my bladder, but still a LOT.

And it comes in waves.

And I have to pee.  CONSTANTLY
I don't have pee to pee, but I need to pee.

It's scraping every centimeter of that 4cm journey.
