I did 4.04 miles today. My legs are feeling just a bit tired. I'm not being facetious. They really are only a little tired. I'm doing so much better. I'm very glad I decided to ask for physical therapy.

Aaaand Another!
Another walk done. 41 of 91. About 8 miles 'behind'. I just have to get off my ass and actually do the walking.
I'm also doing an August walking challenge, over half done with that one, by miles. :D
When I do these walks, I get drippy. Who knew I could get drippy?

HAHA
Yay!
I'm caught up to at least the right month with my 91 miles in 3 months challenge.
I'm at 34.1 miles. Which is three days into August. I'm five miles short of where I'd really like to be, but it's not insurmountable. My current route is about 3.4 miles. I'm still feeling good after each walk, so I might add a bit more. Not sure where I'd add it, but there's lots of sidewalk around. I'll ask John where he thinks I could add another half mile or so. Make it 4 miles.
Thanks for following my ups and downs!

slow and steady
Well, it started good. But I'm catching up. 30.7 miles of my 91 complete. If you note the date, it's distinctly in August... which should be 38 or more miles. Oops. I'm gonna plead residual back pain.
I'm doing much better, though. My last couple of walks have been over 3 miles. And I didn't DIE, metaphorically speaking. Tired and sweaty, but it is a 3+ mile walk in August. :D
John points out that the walking/running shoes have made a big difference. Much more willing to walk when my very clothing isn't sabotaging me.
That's it for now. Gonna probably walk after the rain ends this afternoon. Yes, 3+ miles. gotta 'train' for that 5K.

ah, OOPS
Well, treadmill doesn't work. At all. Lost yesterday to TOTALLY spazzed back. Hurt so much. No more treadmill. I'll be able to do other things, but not that. OUCH!
Back, kinda, in action again today. Still can't quite lift as much as I want to, BUT I know better than to force that. Doesn't have to be right now.
Looked into recumbent stationary bikes. HUGE price range. Like there are some NordicTrack ones that are $1800 and some from Kohl's (of all places) literally a tenth of that. I think something in between the extremes looks right.
I like this one

We'll see. Either when they finally process my return or after I get a new job. Can't really justify the expense right now. Especially since I can use anytime's equipment.
Still going medium on consistency for PT. Trying to do it daily, but some days are just too full or me not feeling it.

HOT DAMN!!!
YAY!
I posted about my predicament on the social media fiasco we call facebook.
One of my friends asked about my footwear!
It was the missing link!!!!
I did almost a mile and a half with NO back spasms. :D
Much glee!!!
Back hurt more and more as the shoes get worse and worse.
Change the shoes and BOOM! no pain.
So much lauds to Laura! She wins the internet today.

Not a good trend
Well, I noticed a trend while I have been doing my walks.
My back starts aching earlier and earlier.
This is why I want to do the PT, but I'm resistant to do it, if it doesn't help. Gonna keep on it, though. Sigh
