ah, OOPS

Well, treadmill doesn't work.  At all.  Lost yesterday to TOTALLY spazzed back.  Hurt so much.  No more treadmill.  I'll be able to do other things, but not that.  OUCH!

Back, kinda, in action again today.  Still can't quite lift as much as I want to, BUT I know better than to force that.  Doesn't have to be right now.

Looked into recumbent stationary bikes.  HUGE price range.  Like there are some NordicTrack ones that are $1800 and some from Kohl's (of all places) literally a tenth of that.  I think something in between the extremes looks right.
I like this one

We'll see.  Either when they finally process my return or after I get a new job.  Can't really justify the expense right now.  Especially since I can use anytime's equipment.

Still going medium on consistency for PT.  Trying to do it daily, but some days are just too full or me not feeling it.

HOT DAMN!!!

 YAY!
I posted about my predicament on the social media fiasco we call facebook.

One of my friends asked about my footwear!

It was the missing link!!!!

I did almost a mile and a half with NO back spasms.  :D
Much glee!!!

Back hurt more and more as the shoes get worse and worse.

Change the shoes and BOOM!  no pain.

So much lauds to Laura!  She wins the internet today.

Not a good trend

Well, I noticed a trend while I have been doing  my walks.

My back starts aching earlier and earlier.

This is why I want to do the PT, but I'm resistant to do it, if it doesn't help.  Gonna keep on it, though.  Sigh

Keep swimming (metaphorically speaking)

I'm doing a walking event challenge with Garmin for the next three months.  The challenge is to have 91 miles of walking events between July 1 and Sept 30.

I'm trying to keep ahead of the game.  That way if there's a bad day, where I can't do a walk for some reason, oh, say, it's 90+ degrees for example, I don't wind up behind.

I'm at 8.02 miles so far.  Still ahead!

I have been bad about my PT.  sigh.  back started feeling it at .41 miles in today's walk.  and it wasn't any kind of Personal Best (PB from now on).  Took over 26 minutes to do today's 1.11 miles.  24+ minute mile.  Ick.  But it's HUMID out there right now.  But I did it, with spazzy back.

I'm gonna find out if treadmill workouts count for walk events.  If they do, then I will be able to do Oct-Dec's event, with no issue.  Since there's a treadmill at the new house.  A girl can hope, right?

I've discovered that I do better with some kind of goal when it comes to exercise.  I mean a concrete "Get 91 miles of walking" sort of goal.  It's not ambiguous.  If I walk 91 miles it will be because I got out there and walked them.  Weight loss goals are way too amorphous.  IF I do the food thing right, IF I do the exercise thing right, IF IF IF IF then MAYBE.  But the IF isn't shapeless for a walking goal.

:)

I just created 'workouts' for my PT.  Concrete start/stop for that.  I hope it will help, for it to be recorded somewhere.

Gonna try it out right now.

WOOHOO!

Second day of PT and a 2+ mile walk.

Yesterday I went 2.7m, and today I went 2.6m.

My back twinged at .65 yesterday and at .61 today.  But just warning.  No actual hurt.  I had a hill in my walk route yesterday, but my leg started warning me today, so I made a point to avoid that big hill.

I did some weeding and carried stuff for moving.

I was at 186.2 pounds this morning.

I'm feeling pretty positive.  :D
